Actually there aren't really rules for who gets a ring - anyone in the organization can get one. Totally up to the team.

I actually looked this up today. You either have to have played in at least 40 regular season games or one Stanley Cup Final game to get your name on the SC.

But yea, he could possibly get a ring from the organization.

I know he's been in Syracuse at least some of the time this year in that sort of capacity.
