GB D was top 15 in pts against the last two years before this one and even with struggles this past year were still nowhere near bottom

Frankly Capers at this point has often been used as scapegoat by fans in GB

they did yeah.

they moved matthews to ILB 2015. this year he's been at ILB and as a pure pass rusher, more as a latter. and pretty uneffective one at that too. injuries have taken a toll on him.

in rodgers' 7 PO-losses, packers have averaged like 36 points against or something. heads should be rolling because of that, both at management and coaching staffs.

You can play injuries all you want, but if you watch all of Green Bay's games you will see a really horrible DC.

If he can't get to the QB with a Blitz (that is NEVER disguised) or his CB/S can't force interceptions, then they get wrecked on defense.

He had Gunter 1 on 1 with Julio Jones, all so he could rush Ryan, even though he never got there all night.

He would do this regularly, no help over the top for his rookie CBs against premium WR. He's just bad.

This is my opinion as well. He had no answer for him that night, looked like they didn't even practice against defending it.

This defense gave up over 200 receiving yards in one game to Adam Thielen who was catching balls from Sam Bradford. Don't care how banged up your defense is, that cannot happen. And it's not like the normal Captain Checkdown throws that Bradford usually makes. These were over the top throws that were beating our corners to the point that sometimes they weren't even in the picture as Thielen was catching the ball.

Let's review Capers play off brilliance:

- Refuses to spy Kaepernick and gets torched by running yards all game long.
- Plays prevent defense against Russell Wilson by.. letting him escape the pocket and giving one on one coverage down field
- Doesn't have anyone covering Larry Fitzgerald in ****ing OVERTIME
- Does not disguise blitzes vs Ryan and has one on one coverage with Julio Jones with a rookie practice squad CB

He should have been canned after letting Kaep run roughshod and then he REALLY should have been canned after they lost the conference championship to Seattle despite having total control of that game.

Packers miss the playoffs next year. Book it.

I loved how the media jumped on the whole "running the table" crap when Pittsburgh and New England had longer winning streaks going into the playoffs.

We jut need Thompson to stop this growing the team from within, yea its a smart strategy but when your wasting the prime of a top QB (current and all time) you need to start spending $$ on defence. Just look at what Wolf did with Reggie White.

ted thompson is still employed as their GM so i'm going out on a limb and say they won't be.

Except that it is the coaching. Seriously, Ask Madden would do a better job.

One decent year last year but they were still bottom 10 stopping the run. Otherwise, his defences have been horrible.
