Very average and underperforming tournament, but he showed up when it counted…good for him
Not sure about that...he played an important role. Clearly was the 2nd line winger and they often lined up against the other team's top line.. Lethal on the PP. Not many ES points. 2 goals in the gold medal game is dang impressive.

the funny thing is he is a really good playmaker as well. Hell he played Center for a large portion of last year.
Yep. Up unto l they acquired Sourdif. And Guenther was a heck of a play driving, possession type during that span. Not a Boeser, Hoffman, Setoguchi, Ryder, Vrbata type opportunistic sniper. He’s very multifaceted and will end up well rounded, I’m sure of it. He’s always been a dual threat. He was playing a role at the WJC and he’s a teenager in the NHL. We are nowhere near WYSIWYG will this kid. It’s crazy how many people are pretending we are.

You have to admit it’s not what we’re all accustomed to as coyotes fans, especially with goal scorers. An elite prospect falling to us in the draft. Only to exceed expectations post draft and step up big in the gold medal game. Still sad about Kolanos. I think his role in the tournament was designed in large part due to his time in the NHL. Non flashy execution while taking care of all 3 zones. Perfect for 2nd line defensive responsibilities and 1st PP. That shot is elite! Like Perlini was impressive on the rush but this guy straight looks like a young Stamkos on that one timer.

I was pleasantly surprised by Dvorsky’s motor and jam in this tourney. Didn’t show a to of eye popping skill, but I’ve heard so much about it, I’m sure it’s there. Was glad to see him play an assertive and responsible game as a 17 year old center in a 19 year old tourney.

I thought he was much more impressive than Sale who was too often invisible when I was watching. And he did a lot of gliding. Got on his bicycle and just looped around the track. He can move but it wasn’t very effective. Still, impressive just to be there. Don’t want to be too hard on draft eligibles at the U20.

Sale is a luxury pick for Coyotes while Dvorsky is valuable option if we are picking 5-7th

Sale is rumored to be pondering an offer from the Barrie Colts. That would be very interesting to me. Especially if he’s on loan and not subject to the CHL/AHL agreement terms, as a result.

Sale is a silky player. So smooth. I’d love to see how his play would translate to the OHL.

He'll absolutely light it up in the OHL. His skill game would fit very well. It would be good to see that if it is the case. Then again if people project him as a late 1st or early 2nd that'll make it easier for us to draft him, which would be great because I definitely see him as a top 10 player.

3rd pair pylon and maybe PP specialist. The Rundblad comparisons remain.
I didn’t see a player nearly as bad as what’s being described in this thread. I was a Clarke detractor in his draft year and have been somewhat of a skeptic since, but I didn’t find his performance at this tournament to be worth the heat. :dunno:

I would be thrilled if we can draft him with our second pick.

Work with us @rt

Trying to buy low. I’d still like him back in a Chychrun trade package.
