Yamamoto for the US is one of those smaller players that has some skill, good player but he's sure to slip in the draft next year.

I really don't understand the US Junior team/program decisions.

USA Hockey can be stupid, but not that stupid.

He actually chose not to participate, not even in practice. He didn't wnat to interrupt his training for Flames Training camp. Reading between the lines.....he didn't want to get injured.

He was one of the 24 forwards originally invited to camp but was not on the final 17 who will play the games.

I doubt that affects whether or not he plays in the real tournament though.

I know it's summer, and it's split squad, but it sure looks like Canada will be weak up front, assuming marner and strome are not available. They just don't have big guns up front. I do like the depth on d, lots of good players to choose from on back end, Hobbs impressed today as did juulsen. Dubois looked bad today, don't think clb should've taken him over pulju, but I guess they want a centre. I do like konecky, feisty.

Foley scored a deflection from a Roslovic shot. Very nice work by Roslovic who had possession for several seconds in the Swedish zone.
