Surprised nyquist didn't make team Sweden. Also the north America under 23 team is stupid as hell. Larkin should be on the main team. They really made what could of been a fun tournament something goofy with the two team randoms.

Have said for a while I believed Abdelkader would be on this team.

No other real surprises.

Think both Nyquist and Danny DeKeyser have a shot at making the final rosters.

7 Wings so far not to shabby, And Nyquist and DDK still possibly have a shot if they can turn it up a notch these last 19 games or so.

Yea I didn't realize it was basically announcing half a team. Also swedens forward depth has gotten a lot deeper than before.

Bit under a 50/50 chance for Nyquist I'd say. He needs to crack the top9, Sweden likes to pick a "real" 4th line. Gonna battle with the likes of Soderberg, Johansson, Hornqvist, Backlund, Zibanejad, Rakell, Hagelin, Rask and Lindholm for five spots. But some of them are better suited in a checking role than he is.

Think I said it during the Dallas game again the other night. That he was a perfect fourth liner for that tournament. Can slide up if you juggle lines, is heavy, plays both special teams. Abby is an excellent hockey player, really really good role player. Hockey executives value what he brings as do players a lot more than fans for the most part.
