Couts and Ghost both booed during pregame intros in Pittsburgh. They both seemed to enjoy it.

In the words of Michael Scott, this one is gonna hurt like a mother****er

EDIT - fun game so far. CZ looking better than I expected, but I still expect the NA23 shift to a higher gear..

Because it's in Pittsburgh, duh.

But really who's going to skip out of work for a pre-tournament game?

I guess. But a chance to see McDavid, I would go. But I guess if I was a Pens fan, I would be more oblivious to the rest of the league. :sarcasm:

Unfortunately, they're kind of fighting for the same spot in the lineup, if Thornton is going back to centre.

I'd like to see that, as well, though. The had great chemistry at the WHC.

Marchand-Crosby-Bergeron
Tavares-Toews-Stamkos
Thornton/Duchene/Couture-Getzlaf-Perry
Thornton/Duchene/Couture-Giroux-Seguin

With one of Duchene/Couture sitting.

If Giroux's injury is more serious, though, I'm not bothered with him missing the last pre-tournament game and possibly a game or two in the tournament. Inevitably someone is going to get hurt, so he'll be back in even if he is the 13th forward.

This deserves a bump quote because not one, but two Canadian forwards got hurt between the time you posted this and the game the next day.

Neuvirth is starting... does that mean he's the likely starter for the real games?

Is this game on ESPN 3 again? The NHL should have never sold the broadcasting rights to this tourney to ESPN. They have noting but junk on all their networks right now.

Oh, ok. Thanks.

I did some quick search now and they (Jandac, Prospal, Spacek) really are going to switch the goalies to make up their mind on who will be the starter.

But Neuvy had a strong showing against the Russians, IMO he is the front runner

This game and Sweden/Europe are on ESPN3, the Russia/Canada game is on ESPN2.
