thanks garl. very important step. i'm not a fan of the age groups 90 and 91. but for next year there's hope that the team could finally stay up for one year. rieder (93), kuehnhackl (92), abeltshauser (92), grubauer (late 91), höfflin (92) are all much better prospects than germany usually has. they already have lots of experience, so it's at least very promising.

So Germany got promoted with 5 wins in as many games. They scored 27:3 goals.

Jerome Flaake and Mirko Hofflin are the scoring leaders. Tom Kühnhackl couldn't play in the tournament but he has a chance to shine at next years WJC.
I think the team can stay in the top pool next year if only they get it in their heads to save energy against the top teams and play hard against the "right" teams that are likely to play in the relegation round. Thanks to the dumb format that is what you have to do in order to not get relegated.

Grubauer allowed only 3 goals while playing all but 20 minutes of the whole tournament for Germany. And he's only turned 18 a month ago so he'll be back next year. Maybe we can avoid relegation for a change. :)
