Don’t see the down side of having him at Spezza’s contract.
Spezza, Simmonds and Mikko at 850k each.
imagine Marleau and Jumbo at 850k each too.
Thats 5 of our bottom 6 for next season.

This has to be a joke right? Who'll be the 6th.. maybe Mats Sundin will come out of retirement??

He will likely get more than league minimum from some other team. And if he would cost any more than a million, then he's not a fit here.

I think getting Spezza last year made us all assume that vets will easily take minimum with Toronto. I really doubt Koivu will.

I wouldn't mind a cheaper Koivu around if Kerfoot fetches an asset. I also think Kerfoot is a little underrated here

For the love of all that is good and holy no.

5 guys that are slow, bring in total very little offense and, at best, questionable defense. Only Wayne plays anything close to heavy hockey. Who is going to play on the PK from that group?

The only one mentioned I'd even consider is bringing back Spezza as he still seems capable of providing something in the Keefe system and he's good in the faceoff circle.

Marleau, Mikko and Jumbo should all retire, not be brought in to help push a team over the top.
