The Athletic's Corey Pronman on Kostadinski: "Kostandinski’s defensive value is what draws you to him. He’s 6-foot-5 and plays quite hard. He breaks up a ton of attacks with both his stick and body. He will make stops as a pro. The question will be whether he can move pucks. His skating is an issue too as he has a heavy stride that will limit him at higher levels."

6'5". Hits. Loves to get involved. Lots of penalty minutes. Breaks up a ton of attacks with his stick and body?

“Teams looking to add a defensive ‘D’ who plays with some edge will track Kostadinski closely this season,” Sportsnet wrote in August. “He’s a big body who knows his limitations and plays to his strengths. He isn’t likely to produce much offensively, but he is capable of making the first pass. Kostadinski takes pride in cleaning out his crease and making life miserable on opponents along the boards.”
