With Deadline Fast Apprroaching Canes Looking To Deal

Hey guys with the deadline upon us we are still looking to make some moves.

Greg DeVries can be moved for a mid to late round pick or mid to lower lever prospect.

Jay McClement very good on faceoffs and defensively. He can also add a little to the score sheet as well. Could be a very good 3rd line center for somebody down the stretch.

Erik Christensen can be had cheaply for a mid to late round pick or mis to lower level prospect.

Alexander Frolov Young pending RFA. We will be looking to get something we feel is the equivalent to the compensation we would receive if he leaves in the offseason via free agency. He can provide a huge scoring threat for a team down the stretch drive or a very good piece to the puzzle for a team rebuilding.

Rick Dipietro For anybody looking for insurance between the pipes. He can also be had on the cheap.

Also for the right return I could be convinced to move my 1st round pick. Currently 3rd pick overall before the lottery and a virtual lock of being a top 5 pick.

Rumors Swirl as the deadline approaches

It is rumored that the Hurricanes are close to making two trades. One would see Jay McClement heading out of town while the other will see Alex Frolov traded. Neither deal is official and trade calls have yet to be made. Don't be surprised if both players are gone by the end of the day.

Owen Nolan is available for trade. Could give big boost to a teams top 6 as a rental down the stretch.
