I'm torn between Copp and Kosmachuk.

Edit: After thinking, it's Kosmachuk. Already proven he can put up points in the AHL.

Add Foley.

I am voting Copp.........

I think it is funny ........ that people think so and so will be so and so..... when certain prospects have proven they can be this and possible more.......

Expieriencce> more than ..................potential

If you want to talk straight experience than you have Chiarot >>>>>>> Ehlers. It's not the only thing to consider, IMO.

I agree with your 5-6 prospects ahead of Lemieux statement though. I didn't mind Lemieux in his draft year but as time goes on I've been more concerned about his character and skill limitations. Not a huge fan. I'd have him closer to 20 than 10, probably in the 15-19 range for Jets prospects.

But projecting is a balancing act no?

I assume you don't mean Chiarot > Ehlers?

Edit ok should have read to the bottom before posting seems like Holden covered this point

Voted Kosmachuk but don't think he wins for a while. Was out in St. John's where most here didn't pay any attention. Not a great team in terms of winz and not a lot of news on him throughout the past year. He's not a shiny bauble any longer.

He's my pick for the next round of voting. I still have hopes for him as a 3rd or 4th line mucker, who has some scoring touch. I've always liked him as a player, and I thought he started to find his game at the mid-way point of last year.

I think Kosmo could have a big year especially if Petan starts in the AHL. I haven't given up on him yet either.

For sure: he's the kind of "gritty" player I want, if we have to have a gritty player in the line-up. Skates well, isn't afraid to go into the corners, and has very good finish. He and Petan could be a nice pairing on a line.

It would certainly be an annoying line to play against: both are quite "pesky" and chippy, in addition to having skill.

Let me make the case for Spacek, vs Copp and Lemieux.
Spacek is relatively unknown but has top-end offensive skills and vision. He was rated #5 (#4 earlier in the year) among European skaters. Previous #5s:
2012-Tomas Hertl-1st Rounder
2013-Alexander Wennberg-1st Rounder
2014-David Pastrnak-1st Rounder

Did Europe stop making good hockey players or was this a great value pick?

Spacek has Mathieu Perreault upside IMO, whereas Copp and Lemieux do not.

I voted Spacek... But really at this point you could make a pretty decent case for 5 or 6 guys.

Copp over Kosmo because of Kosmo's not amazing AHL season - hope I'm wrong though - plu Copp has proven to be able to put up NHL points :sarcasm:

Add Glover I guess, Phillips/Foley soon as well

Agree with you guys. I think he took some time to adjust to the pro game and should have a nice season coming up. If he can adapt his gritty scoring game from the juniors into the pros I will be ecstatic. We'll see.

I voted for Kossy and add Phillips!
