I dunno, I don't think his offensive instincts are great but he's a good passer at this level and has a big shot, I think he could be ok. Windsors power play has been on fire though, (Logan Brown <3) so I doubt they'll change anything soon.

man did the Devils screw up

Watching him at development camp and training camp, I think he has some offensive instincts but lacks the quickness to execute. As you note, he can pass and shoot. I just think we won't really know what Stanley's potential is for another couple of seasons because his physical tools (especially quickness) need to improve before he's able to execute plays effectively.

Patrik Laine looks slow !!!

I heard all this hype about Patrik Laine, and was
excited about the Jets future. If he turns out good,
team would be powerful-with Ehlers and Conor.
When I watch Laine- he can't keep up on the "rush",
with the other forwards. He looks slow and clumsy
out there. I do think he has a "great shot"- quick release
and hard and accurate, but I think his lack of speed will
hinder him a lot- "big disappointment."
I hope maybe he can grow into his body, and become
a lot faster, as the NHL is moving to speed and finesse.
I hope I'm wrong about this guy!!!

Go and look what the guy did and then try and reason why he made that comment cause it doesnt make sense

His twitter bio says he tracks data for the Steelheads. Obviously he's implying that whatever metrics he was tracking for Stanley were bad.

Somewhere nice
Does this mean we drop down next year on prospect ranking?
Bottom 10 for sure...
Roslovic, Petan, Lemiuex, Comrie are left, with legit shot at making it in.
All complimentary prospect (though not bad).
Rest are long shot.
Unless Stanley turns into a diamond :) by being a beast this year

I think we'll see a few guys raise their stock this year too. Early returns on Harkins, Green, and Foley are looking good, and I expect Appleton and Franklin to have good seasons as really key pieces of their teams as well.

Even if we graduate all of our high end guys I think we'll still be a middle of the pack sort of system.

Sami Niku with his first goal of the season, as slapshot from the blueline tying the game 1-1 in the third. Missed in the shootout. He just keeps improving, just sees the ice so well and moves the puck great too. He's also improving defensively all the time. 10 GP 1G 5A. Second highest TOI among JYP dmen.

Seeing that Morrissey is still considered a prospect, I am posting this here.

When I watched him play last season with the Moose, he reminded me of a more defensively-responsible version of Kevin Shattenkirk.

Is that a realistic comparison for you guys?
