I know you can't put much stock into the TSN CHL Player rankings but they have Kosmachuk 10th and Lodge 49th in the OHL, and Petan, Morrissey and Olsen 2nd, 9th and 34th respectively in the W. Our top AHL guy is Kitchton 37th.

The Ice Caps are going to be transformed into a younger team going forward stocked with our latest draft picks. I would be excited if I was out east to watch some of these prospects play in the next few years.

What will their roster look like next year? Im not familiar enough with their older players.

Portland was 22-5 with Nic Petan in the lineup.
They've gone 3-4 since Petan left for the World Juniors.
They've been outscored 29-21 in that time.
Just saying

Axel has some sick Nik like flow. :naughty: At 6'6'' with great puck protection, vision, driving the net ability with questionable skating this guy is the next Antropov. If he ever cracks the roster I foresee so many people hating this guy. I personally think he will be a hugely valuable player for us. I am more excited for this guy than several of our draft picks. He will be a big puck possession player for us hopefully.

AW MAN! THE NEXT ANTROPOV!? Totally psyched! Really liked him when I saw him during the development camp and was really glad the Jets signed him. That kid is HUGE but was so good at getting to the net. And come on, how cool of a name is Axel Blomqvist.

Obviously Petan is a product of his linemates. It's the only explanation for being 2nd in scoring this year and tied for first last year. Such a scrub player.

I wish I could get better video of Comrie. The Tri-City broadcasts aren't great, it feels like an 8 year old kid is working the camera sometimes. And when they travel, most of the opposing teams don't put saves in their highlights. And I don't really feel like watching a whole game to catch a few good saves.

I liked him at development camp and I wanted the Jets to sign him at that time, watching your replays on his 4 goals ......... I see him taking a beating after his goals and being easy to knock off his feet. I see good potential with him being 6'6 .....but I sure hope we dont get a 6'6 Sweedish Pansy meatball:laugh:.

Axel may be 6'6, 212, but he is lanky. He has a lot of filling out to do. I am curious to see where his growth ends. He may be a 240 lb monster by the time things are all said and done.

I'm watching Comrie play right now. It's refreshing to see a calm, composed goalie tracking the puck well.

Tri-City was just killing off a 5 on 3. At the faceoff, it was Comrie who skated up to his 3 guys and came up with a game plan. Thought that was cool too.

Just as I type this, the Tri-City defense turns into the Jets defense and let a guy walk in and score haha.

The Hawks PP seems lost without Petan and Pouliot.

edit: Hawks being pests now since they're down 5-1. Comrie gloved a puck and held on and one of them tried to get in his face. Didn't pay him any attention at all and flipped the puck onto the ice. Love the demeanor.

So excited for comrie. I know it's hard to judge a goalie In junior but this kid has potential. I have a gut feeling that he will be our started one day, sooner than later.

Cory Pronman tweeted me he will have his full WJC report on Monday .

Was asking him what his impressions were of Copp , anxious to read it all but specifically his take on him . Asked him if he would say when he felt he may be ready , we'll see if he identifies that or not.

Every D has breakdowns. In the end Comrie stopped 37 of 38. Nice night.
