3. Franciscan monks built a series of catacombs under the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America in Washington D.C. Why? Because they couldn’t afford to go to Europe to see the catacombs there.
4. In 1999, vandals were suspected of chopping down four D.C. cherry trees. Turns out, it was just a pair of beavers.
5. D.C. has the second busiest Amtrak Station in the United States, just after New York City.
6. The 1973 film The Exorcist steps are located in Georgetown.
7. Washington, D.C. residents consume more wine per capita than anywhere else in the country.
8. The U.S. Capitol Building dome is made up of 8,909,200 pounds of cast iron.
9. A sculpted head of Darth Vader is located on the northwest tower of the Washington National Cathedral amongst the gargoyles.
10. There is a copy of the Constitution, a map of the city, a book of poems, a Bible, and daguerreotypes of George Washington and his mother buried under the Washington Monument.

I personally like point 4 with the Beaver tree chomping, so on that note praise the Beaver, a truly worthy and wonderfully Canadian animal.

Leslie Nielson was a funny guy..even if he lived in Burnaby! Beaver stories warm my heart..MB DoM&NR was my boss one year when we had to blow up dozens of Whiteshell culverts that beavers had clogged..

Hahahaha I thought of this scene as soon as a started reading the gdt.

Naked gun is one of my all time faves. 2 1/2 not so much. 33 1/3 was surprisingly good

The 2nd movie used a lot of jokes from the tv series. Which are good jokes but took away from the movie. The 3rd movie wasn’t that good but did make for one of the funniest movie trailers of all time. I was with some friends at a theatre to see Ace Ventura (we didn’t really know much about that film going in). The Naked Gun 33 1/3 trailer came on and we nearly died. Of course the movie couldn’t live up to that hype.

Hopefully Ovechkin won’t live up to his hype. I still haven’t forgotten the 2nd year double loss debacle to the Caps that knocked us out of contention for the South East playoff spot. I hope he misses Gretzky’s goal record by one

My expectations were probably so low after the 2nd that the 3rd seemed great by comparison

The first Mr Bean movie did that as well, recycled so many gags from the tv series the movie was been there done that for any fans of the tv series. Mr Beans Holiday on the other hand was some top shelf comedy

I haven't forgiven the Caps for that 2 game series either. I keep hoping each time that Ovi has the worst game of his career against the Jets. I'd like to be right for a change!
