Does anyone have any experience/knowledge/opinion about local bartending courses? It appears that courses in Winnipeg run the gamut from two days to several weeks, from $150 to over a thousand dollars.
Does the old rule about avoiding the low end apply here? Does the length/quality of the course dictate who will likely hire you? Is the certificate these places issue important to employers?
Given the connection between hockey experts and bars, I'm sure the collective wisdom of this board will be valuable. Asking for a friend.
