Speculation: Will we make OEL captain this summer?

I feel this needs to happen, I don't imagine we go multiple years without a captain. Tocchet made it known that he'll wait to assign a captain until after he's seen who best deserves it, and lately, multiple player testimonials (and snippets from coaching staff) have mentioned him taking a significant leadership role with his team. I think it's vital if we want to keep him, which i do. If you don't think so, explain who you think may get captaincy, and why.

IIRC that's what we did with Doan. Wouldn't it be justice if Doan was in attendance to pass the torch? Maybe a way to pay homage to him since we didn't give him a proper send-off?

Only if he re-signs long term. I think that is the main thing that is holding up a decision at this point. If he remains unsigned to an extension, then you probably see Stepan or someone else get the letter.
