Will this be the year Crosby passes Ovechkin in total points?

After a weak 16/17 season most people assumed Crosby would pass Ovi last year. Ovi bounced back with an 87 point season and only lost 2 points to Crosby and had a point lead of 6 going into this season. Ovechkin looks to be in shape to start the year and the Capitals PP looks good which it has to if Ovi is gonna keep Crosby behind him.

well he has gotten close to Crosby in terms of point totals (84-81 in 14/15, 89-87 last season), so you can't completely rule out the possibility

even if it's just by 1 point

I think Sid goes off this year, I expect him to challenge for the Hart and Ross again so I say yes. Ovi is gonna need to be scoring goals because I think he has some serious competition for the Rocket this year with McDavid, Kuch, Laine, and Matthews.
