Phil Kessel currently has 398 goals for his career. He has scored seven this season. He has 10 games left to get 2 goals to reach 400. In his last 43 games he has 2 goals.

Will he reach 400 with the Coyotes this season?

vs NJD
at VAN
at CGY
vs CAR
vs CHI
vs WSH
vs STL
at MIN
at DAL
vs NSH

Yeah i looked up his stats the other day when he was mentioned in regards to the ironman streak and was surprised to see how low his scoring has been, but on the flip side, he's still producing in assists. This is his stat line this season.

Not too bad.

I’m gonna take a wild guess that he’s playing through some pain right now in order to maintain his game streak

That's a given. Kessel is way too fit and athletic to have his play just drop like that. Then add onto that his incredible drive to be the best.

Phil the Trill should sign a league-minimum contract and come back to Toronto.

We'll have him scoring 20 goals and 50+ points per year for the foreseeable future.

Get him to 1000 points in the Blue and White

Yes he will. Then he's got four seasons to reach 500 in his 20th season. Do you think he'll play more than 20 seasons?

What the hell happened to his goal scoring?

Maybe he was a bit overrated as a goal scorer in his prime (was certainly an elite overall point producer) considering he's never hit the 40-goal mark, but he definitely used to have a deadly shot. What happened to that?

I didn't watch much of Arizona's season (understandably), but what stuck out in yesterday's game is that he can't skate anymore.

It's one thing to have a great shot, many players in the NHL can pick corners with their snap shot. You have to get in a position to use it however, and Kessel used to be one of the fastest wingers in the league in his prime.

Now that he's lost a lot of speed and that he plays on the worst team in the league, he just doesn't get the opportunity to use his shot anymore.

Phil got an empty net goal last night so he now has 399 goals. Game at Dallas tonight and home vs Nashville on Friday are his last chances to make it to 400 this season.

Four got it right. Phil ends the season with 399 career goals. He had a chance Friday night for an empty net goal, but one of the Preds was able to tip his shot from the Coyotes end and send the puck wide of the net. Maybe next season.
