Clendening isn't the strongest defensive, this is widely known. Sbisa is terrible at everything. Let's make them a pairing! WD is so questionable sometimes...like what goes through your head to make that a pairing?

I understand Edler/Tanev and Hamhuis/Corrado are all playing really solid together, but this third pairing is going to fail and fail hard...because of Sbisa. You're already asking Clendening to carry a pairing in the NHL. Wonderful.

Probably waking up in a cold sweat thinking of Clendening being paired with Weber.
At least he's finally benched Stanton.

May be the idea is to get Clendening to play the puck and Sbisa to focus on physical plays? I guess if Sbisa doesn't get to touch the puck that's already a bonus. Let's assume WD knows what he is doing...

Yep, Weber's definitely the dead weight on that pairing. When not playing together:

Sbisa: GF%: 34.3; CF%: 47.3

Weber: GF%: 58.3%; CF%: 51.4

Got to feel for Clendening who gets tied to a boat anchor for his first game as a Canuck.

Predetermined roster move. Nothing wrong in getting a look. Keeps people hungry.

I prefer to play whoever is playing well and sit players that have struggled for a very long time. Their play on the ice should affect the roster decisions.

I'm not overly surprised, to be honest.

I'm not really surprised as much as I am disappointed.

3 LD and 3 RD setup with a one of each as a healthy scratch. Both Sbisa and Stanton have been wildly inconsistent this season. Guessing Sbisa is in the lineup for PK usage. With Bieksa out, I wouldn't be surprised if it continues.

Not even close which is why Weber plays the lowest minutes. Sbisas better. B

Sbisa plays 2 minutes more than Weber ES. Big whoop. Special teams icetime also plays a factor in that.
