Why no MVP in KHL 2018/19?

Normally, a Golden Stick award is given to the MVP of a KHL season, but I can't find any info on who won it in 2018/19. Neither in English-language nor in Russian-language sources.

Was the award just... not given for some reason?

Hmm, very interesting! I would also like to know the answer. I have to admit that "Gagarin" for the cup is very smart and a huge win for the KHL.

Gusev led the league in points by a good margin, and he had won the year before. I imagine has was the favorite ton win this past year, but maybe they didn't award it to him since he left to play in the NHL?
