Why does the away team always seem to win outdoor games?

Not always. In the recent Heritage Classic, the Oilers coach figured out by 2nd period the ice is as bad as should be expected outdoors and greatly simplified their game. Jets kept playing fancy and nothing worked. When you look at Minny, they have so much outdoors experience they know how to play those games. At least that's the theory. All too often no theory survives contact with the practice or even the stats

less pressure for away team.
think Blake Wheeler and Todd McLellan both said, it feels like a circus sometimes.
Todd has been home and away for outdoor games and he said being away team is much easier.
