Certainly seems like something that could be controlled, in theory.

If we get to the point of being able to "switch off" aging, or even just slow it down significantly, we're really going to have to rethink the number of people on this planet.

if the numbers stay constant? in 30 years time? 100 years old could be the new norm for average life durations
