i recently saw that Hasek got inducted into the Sabres Hall of Fame which got me wondering about his time in Ottawa..
I guess my memory's a little fuzzy.. but I remember how many people felt cheated by him because of the fact he refused to suit up again after his injury in the Olympics..myself included.
However, I was reading a write up on him about how he was willing to come back and play for the team at a lower salary almost as a way to pay them back for not suiting up after the Olympics..
Like I said before I'm a little bit fuzzy about what else exactly happened that made us so against not atleast resigning him for another year?
Think we should have? I would've atleast given him 1 more shot to redeem himself in in the eyes of his teammates and the fan base
