Isn’t this the easiest question ever?

Brandt Clarke - skating mechanics

By most accounts it’s the only reason he’s not the number one prospect in this class. He has every other thing that you’d be looking for in terms of valuing defensemen. He’s got NHL size, a supposed elite brain, offensive skill set is best among defensemen, he’s competent and engaged defensively.

Fixing Clarke’s skating and you feel like you have the best chance at capturing a Drew Doughty like prospect

This 1,000 times over. Even just getting him to an NHL plus skater makes him a crazy good prospect.

Even average NHL defenseman skating makes him a huge PP threat. Otherwise he wouldn't be ranked so high to begin with.

At the same time, it's about the ugliest skating I've seen from a top 10 prospect. I'd bet Wallstedt has better skating form without pads.

Huge upside if fixed, AHLer if it's not. Will probably be available at #6, but I doubt Stevie goes for him. I'm kinda mixed about him, I think I'd go for it at #6.
