McDavid over Matthews everyday. Matthews is really really good but its not McDavid. That said, the way McDavid plays, he looks like he's still in junior, like he's leagues above everyone, so I feel like some jaded vet will murder him and so Matthews might be the safer option.

The only guy in the league that I think might be as good to build around as McDavid is Ekblad (when considering age, caphit, potential, etc).

Most say he would have went #3, actually.

Anyways, this isnt even close. Theres a good chance that starting next season McDavid is considered the best player in the world.
