Hansen and Kenins, and it's not really close. Kenins was a useful utility 4th liner, and Hansen is the best all-around player on that list. The Hansen-Kenins duo is also much cheaper.

This is a poster that was arguing that Virtanen's only skills were driving to the net (LOL) and hitting. Didn't mentioned the fact that he was a good skater, and asked if I watched the games because I said driving to the net was one of his flaws.

These stricly main board Canucks posters are some of the biggest homers I've seen and are the reason why Canucks fans are given such bad reputations around these parts.

While being eviscerated defensively. At his peak, Hansen was one of the better forecheckers in the game. Offensively he was never a dynamo, but he was good for 15 goals, 30-40 points in what was mostly a 3rd line checking role. His ES point production was always very good (30-40 points, as he rarely saw PP time). 11 of Vanek's 23 points so far this year have come on the PP. Cut his PP time and I bet you'd find his production to be very similar, all the while being worse defensively.

idk, Kenins was really the epitome of "invisible" after his hot streak. 14-15 Hansen is the best player in there and compensates for Kenins though, I think I'd give the edge to Hansen/Kenins because of that.

If we factor in cap hits then yeah, it's a much easier decision.

Yea 50% of his career points are on the PP. But not exactly a bad thing is it? He is 2nd pp unit. And our pp has been fairly weak up to this year. I do put alot more value into even strength. But its not like we dont need a guy on the PP. Hansen was a great PK'er tho.

So you'd take a PP specialist with a good shot over a 40 point ES player that is responsible defensively and is great at forechecking?

idk man, doesn't really seem like the smartest decision from a team-building standpoint.

I respect anyone who needlessly adds an 's' to the end of his first name. Hansen will also always have a special place in my heart for being the only prospect worth a damn in the Canucks system for a short period of time.

My disgust for Gagner's play doesn't help that combo. It's also tough to give a merc like Vanek a ton of respect when he won't be here all that much longer.
