Lalime wasn't the problem it was the soft team in front of him and a coach who had no answers.

I think you misread my post. I'm saying I would NOT put Lalime on our Sens graveyard Rushmore. That one game aside, nothing but fond memories of Patty.

If we're going for non players, Bryden deserves to be on it. Without him Melnyk never would have had a chance to buy the Sens.

I debatted Bryden or Firestone but decided to go with the guy who brought the team back

While I agree Lalime wasn't the problem, he also wasn't really the solution. He was an average at best starter, and the team got frustrated by other teams getting top end goaltending. Swap Cujo or Belfour with Lalime and we win some series against the leafs.

Truth is, while he normally did enough to win games, he certainly was outplayed by his counterparts in most if not all our our exits with him, be it Belfour, Cujo, or Brodeur.

Pretty much this for me. 20 years from now I think we'll regard Spezza like Hossa. Significant but not significant enough for Mount Sensmore. Karlsson should be there as long as he sticks around.
