Now that the draft is nearing its conclusion, post who you would have selected at each pick (feel free to not trade up for the Leafs 2nd rounder). This way, we can look back in five years at which posters got it right and should be hired by the Senators, and laugh at some of the picks that the HF experts missed on.

I was honestly fine with the 1st round picks I feel like I would have picked slightly different in the 2nd though
33rd overall: Helge Grans
44th overall: Luke Tuch
61st overall: Sokolov was a fine pick at the spot I like the possible upside he brings
71st overall: Jean-Luc Foudy
Everyone past the 3rd round seems like an absolute crap shoot so not going to comment past here.

You must have wanted Barron really badly
I like Barron too, would have been a good partner for Chabot or Sanderson along with JBD, pretty good future top 4 IMO. I can't get anything straight today. Did anyone else try the mushrooms?

2. Stutzle
5. Rossi
28. Wallinder
33. Peterka
44. Mysak
71. Pitlick
.....

But I really like the Sanderson, Greig, and Jarventie picks too.

Minny drafted both Rossi and Khusnutdinov! Sick centre depth of high compete, talented 2-way centres who are vertically challenged.

I have confidence in Dorion and his scouting team but I'd have taken Ty Smilanic instead of the Finnish goalie. In fairness, the goalie does have some promising stats. It looks like he has potential to be a steal.

1st round is fine. Three quality choices; two difference makers. In the 2nd I would have Colangelo and traded up for Tuch. Two sandpaper guys with skill. Sokolov was a perk. I would have waited for the goalie and taken Prokop.

The problem with post draft selections like this is that we know who would be available with our future picks. For example, I would have been happy with Gunler at 28, but in this exercise I'd pick him 33.

True. After a strong 1st, I feel let down with Day 2. I do like Sokolov but thought there were other players we needed to suit our style of play (forecasted) that were still in the BPA category in the 2nd and 3rd.
Montreal said they wanted to be, like us, harder to play against. Just look at the moves and draft choices they’ve made.
I think Dorion drafts well. I do not enjoy his trades the same way.

Totally agree. It isn't perfect, but I still think it is interesting. Would love to see what @bert and some of the other draft experts think. They seem to have good thoughts often, but let's see if those thoughts can pass the test of time.

Did a lot of prep work on this draft for the HFNHL league so this is all according to my list before the draft. Will be fun to look back on in a few years and see how I did.

28th: Ridly Greig
33rd: Jan Mysak
44th: Tristen Robins
61st: Lukas Cormier
71st: Zayde Wisdom
155th: James Hardie
158th: Owen Pederson
181st: Landon Kosior
