Kessel
Kane
Selanne
Gretzky
Early years Crosby, now a much more dominant two way player.
Tarasenko
Briere
You mean the Selanne who had 82 penalty minutes in his cup winning year ? Also had 10 PIM in 21 playoff games that year for a total of 92 PIM in 103 games (82 games + 21 playoff games)

Curious what you'll invent to explain this post.

So you were kidding with your first post, but then defended your point in the next? Makes sense.

Keep making this your hill to die on sport.

You're just mad because Datsyuk is soft.

Montreal, Canada
Leaned on lidstrom and zetterberg, underperformed his regular season scoring by a mile, and ended his career with one measly cup as a key player.
More like Zetterberg leaned on Datsyuk. 2 stright playoffs miss after Datsyuk left, when Zet finally understood he's zero without him, he took early retirement. Besides, are you expecting 3 selke trophey winner leading in scoring department?

Breire as in Daniel?

He's small but never shied away from physical play and was actually a pretty dirty player. Playoff stud though.

idk about dirty, but he definitely played above his size. "Soft" in the sense that grinding along the boards wasn't his game, but he was just damn smart in front of the net and would take a hit to make the play. One of my all-time favorites, just a lot of hockey spirit in a smaller frame.

I think by definition a truly soft player can't perform well in the playoffs in the first place- soft isn't so much about size or style, it's about a guy who folds when the going gets tough. The playoffs just get a bit harder, so any guy still performing to their normal level or greater- they ain't soft. Kessel gets hit a bit more, he has a little less time and his opponents are a little more desperate- so if he still scores I don't care what he looks or plays like, that dude ain't soft.

Jason Blake was awesome at getting close to the opposing teams goalie and doing nothing with it while getting wrecked. The absolute pinnacle of soft but managed to put some some good seasons.
