It's weird, the East looks super tight but barring a collapse, everyone knows who 7 of the 8 teams will be. We're just waiting to see who cares less, Toronto or Florida.

Tampa takes the 1 seed. Boston gets the 2 seed. Toronto and Florida will go down to the wire unless someone wants step up and actually earn a spot. Similar teams in goals for and goals against. I will give the slightest of edges to Florida as they have the more experienced team and coach.

Washington would take the 1 spot for me if they do the right thing and consistently start Samonsov. If not, then the Pens will overtake them. Vigneault has missed the playoffs once in the last 10+ years, he will get Philly in.

Rangers had an inside spot for me but the injury to Igor might hurt them. So i went with the playoff experience and strong goal differential in Carolina and the Islanders.
