Age: Too old. When I tell you I was in High School (equivalent) when I learned of the existence of (and got deeply impressed by) the Buffalo Sabres

Location: Upper Austria. (Which is maybe the size of Greater Buffalo? No, joke. [Just about 12,000 square km]. Somewhere in between )

Current Occupation: Well ... technician ... sort of. Software. But none like the specialists on this board. I'm looking at ... well ... you know

Sabres Fan Since: Learned of their existence in ... 1978. (Heard of all the activities the Sabres Executives were involved referring the contacts to the Soviet National Team. Was like huh?? Quite impressive. Didn't follow the Sabres specifically [little chance at that time. Only got in touch with the NHL around 2002.])

All Time Favorite Sabres: Well ... knowing nothing I can't give any substantial answer. Only read about the teams before 2005. Watched games since then (not so much for last season because of personal matters). Was very impressed by Danny Briere. Also liked Chris Drury. Didn't like it that much that they left. But liked the whole team(s) of 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 (well, that was easy, I know. Jay McKee, J.P. Dumont, Mike Grier. Bah, the whole team(s).).

Current Favorite Sabres: I'm out of touch with the team of 2013-2014. Just found out recently that Sam Reinhart has been drafted by the Sabres. Noticed that some on the board were very high on Zemgus Girgensons the year before. Don't know anything about anyone. Well, Jhonas Enroth, Marcus Foligno, Tyler Ennis of course, the whole gang. Yes, I like Tyler Ennis a lot.

Favorite Sabres Moment: Reaching overtime in the playoffs 2007 against the NYR ... with something like ... uhmmm ... 4 or 5 seconds left?!

I understand the Austrian fans who followed Vanek here and now root for us. But a random guy in, say, England. Or a more hockey friendly nation like Sweden.

Danny Briere got me hooked on Buffalo. Simple as that. He's still my favorite player, but Sabres is still my team even if he left many years ago.
