I'm asking who is the best Sabre all-time whose last name started with the letter "D"? This is for their time with the Sabres, and I'm arbitrarily selecting a 75 game minimum as a Sabre.

Of course, I'll run through the rest of the alphabet up until the regular season starts.

Results so far:

A: Dave Andreychuk 91.2%
B: Danny Briere 73.1%
C: Brian Campbell 50.6%

Let the voting begin!

I have love for Desjardin, Dudley, and especially Drury - but Dahlin is on the cusp of being the greatest defenseman in Sabres history. Tough vote but I picked him.

Dudley, Desjardins and Dunn were all awesome Sabres in the early days.
Dunn was my brother's best man at his wedding, and Duds is a legend.
Gerry's career cut too short by that eye injury.
I think Dahlin takes this one, with Drury honorable mention.

The poll explicitly states "their time with the Sabres". If Dahlin's Sabre days end today, it's Drury without a 2nd thought. I don't mind fans going with Dahlin right now anyway, but you can't make me feel shame for selecting Drury. There's not enough room on my door for any more scarlet letters anyway. :DD

Dahlin is most talented, Drury was the best. Captain Clutch was the hype.

Drury was an important part of some of our most recent success, but Dahlin has created some incredible highlights and his stats the past two years have been phenomenal.

If you'd asked me a year ago I would probably have voted for Drury.

Drury benefitted from being on a great team. Yes, he was good and a leader, but if he was on a last place Sabres team he would just be another guy. If Dahlin was on the 05-06 Sabres they would have come away with the Cup.

I’m voting Dahlin. He’s already eighth all-time for our defensemen in points scored.

I went with Drury because I am not voting for any current Sabre in these polls unless it is extremely obvious.
You mean like a defenseman who has more GP, points, career highs with the Sabres and actually wants to be here?

actually wants to be here?

To me, that's irrelevant towards being the "best" in a certain category (unless the category is like "Best Sabre who wanted to be here" or "Best in the community" or something like that).

Hasek didn't want to be here at the end -- does that disqualify him from being the best "H" in Sabres history? Eichel I don't think wanted to be here period.....but does that disqualify him from being the best "E" in Sabres history?
