It's a D heavy draft next year apparently. Of course compared to this draft, that's not saying much.

I think the team's motivation to beat the odds against this season's tank won't be there next season. They've really, really overachieved and could come back down to earth. Right now the team is riding high because losses are expected and yet they're winning games they shouldn't be. How will the team culture look when they're losing games and it wasn't by design? I don't expect sniffing the playoffs any time soon. Suspect this season is a bit of a fluke.

Edit: With our luck we'll get a top 2 pick next year, not the one with the generational talent lol.

I think we're going to be as good or better next year, especially if we win Bedard. But even without him, I expect Bear to be Bear and keep getting the best out of his players.

The defense does worry me some. I'd like to see us go out and get a couple big bodies for the blue line who are motivated by the prospect of this maybe being their last shot in the show.
