Easy poll...who finishes with a better record next season Ottawa or Arizona.

I see a lot of folks putting Arizona on the bubble next season and well, we all know the talent Ottawa has, but never really putting it all together for wins. What say you?

Shy of a couple of our bigger prospects being insta smash hits I think it will still be Ottawa.

We'll still have trouble early, get our act together in December, and catch fire in Februrary as is tradition. The question is usually how bad the trouble early is. Won't be as bad as this season, but will still have issues.

No brainer. The forwards will improve with Guenther and maybe Cooley, but I don't have any confidence in this defense.

I think the addition of Cooley w/maturation of current core plus Guenther will add enough that we'll close the gap on SOG per game, and increase our GF from 2.76 to just shy of 3.00 (probably 2.92) and I think our defense will take a big step forward, dropping our GA from 3.42 down to just above 3.00 (probably 3.08) and we will increase our point totals from 72 to 92.

It's going to be close w/Ottawa, but I'll take the team with better goaltending to come out on top

I just have a feeling a guy like Valimaki won’t be as good next year. We’ll see some regression and have a better shot at the 2024 1st overall than this year

Perhaps it's because I'm not as aware of some people on here about our prospects, I can't see how our defense will improve. Is there something I don't know about?

I think BA will make at least two defense acquisitions. He seems to do well finding unheralded UFAs or waiver wire value. It will be interesting to see what transpires.

I think next years team will be more like the last 34 games vs the first 40 games, but better offensively and as good defensively

I don't think we can sustain over 3.00 GF, but certainly come close over an entire season with addition of Cooley/Guenther and again maturation of the core

The question really is if AT and coaching staff maintain or get better from the defense we've played the last 34 games. If they can approach those numbers, this team will be on the bubble.

I agree and expect the Coyotes to find those 2 blueliners from a team (or other resource) other than the Flames...

I think Ottawa will be a better team but they also play a tougher schedule. I still think they might make playoffs next year so I'll say Ottawa.

Both franchises have question marks.
8 games into an 8 year contract and the Sens don't know about Norris's future. They're looking for a new owner and what will be their goalie tandem for next season?

Don't forget that next years draft is supposed to be much weaker than this years draft, so naturally the Coyotes will put on a tanking clinic next season and then proceed to draft the Dylan Strome of defensman with their first ever #1 overall pick.

Lots of players with bad injury history on the Sens. I'm sure it's fine.

It's a D heavy draft next year apparently. Of course compared to this draft, that's not saying much.
