Agreed, he's a slippery player who really just keeps on moving and is flying around on the ice, and sets up and finishes just the same much like Modano.

Hopefully he plays well enough to be on the top line with Robbie Earl.

Bitter about last years WJC's :)

    USA USA USA USA!!

Robbie Earl well never ever ever be on the first line next year, although Eaves really likes the guy.

Earl will lead the USA to the Gold medal game.

    Let's leave it at that.

I'm not sure why, but I find the Robbie Earl jokes very funny.

    Good work.

Have any of you even seen Kessel play? Some pretty strange comparisons. If he compares to anyone it might be a player like Paul Kariya but he still has a long way to go before I make that comparison with any kind of conviction.

Strange is right. Kessel can't even play in trafic and is very slight.

He is the size that Roenick and Sakic were at the same age. I prefer the Sakic comparison because Kessel already has an NHL calibre release on his shot.

The US should have another strong team at the WJC this December :D

    Al Montoya in net

Ryan Suter and AJ Thelen anchoring the defense with the next wunderkid Jack Johnson(Brian Leetch clone)waiting in the wings

Drew Stafford,Patrick O'Sullivan,Dan Fristche(maybe)and Jake Dowell are the holdovers from the 2004 WJC team

They have some nice young talent which could make their WJC debuts:Robbie Schremp(?),TJ Hensick,Tom Fristche,Phil Kessel,Bryan Lerg,Blake Wheeler,Kevin Porter and Matt Auffrey

The Rangers have two prospects Brandon Dubinsky and Ryan Callahan trying out for the team
