Going into the season we all expected Colorado to be a major contender. They started out a bit slow, I think they were even out of a playoff spot for a while - but they've been absolutely dominating lately and are back atop the division.
Las Vegas also seemed like a major player, with a ton of depth. They've looked rock solid all season, leading division most of the year until Colorado took over.
Minnesota has stood out and done extremely well in this division so far, close to pacing those 2 teams at the top. They probably look quite a bit less scary on paper heading into a playoff matchup against Vegas/Colorado though.
With roughly ~16-18 games to go, that top 3 seems locked in for playoff spots. After that, the race for 4th is wide open though. Arizona, St Louis, San Jose and even Los Angeles are still in the mix. Blues won a cup recently, LA still has part of the core with those 2 cups, SJ has great individual players if they could only come together and play well, and Arizona currently leading them all in 4th place.
