Centers: Mark Messier, Jean Ratelle, Frank Boucher
Wingers: Bill Cook, Andy Bathgate, Rod Gilbert, Bryan Hextall
Defensemen: Brian Leetch, Brad Park, Ching Johnson
Goalies: Henrik Lundqvist, Eddie Giacomin

Those are my guys. Bryan Hextall is probably my most controversial pick. Lesser known but 11 seasons with the Rangers and one of the better players in the league around the Second World War. Four post-season all-star teams and Hart votes.

You're right and I credited you in red bold in the OP.

Edit: I took Harry Howell for a baker's dozen. Great job!

I'm constantly surprised at how often Hextall gets overlooked in lists like this - yes, I understand his best seasons were during the war, but I still think he has a place as one of the greatest Rangers ever. I think the 12 you listed are spot on. Selfishly and subjectively, I'd love to find a way to get Richter on there, but I think this is correct. Richter & Howell probably come in as the next two. Then maybe Worsley and Beezer. After that, I imagine you start considering guys that had short but dominant stints with the Rangers (Seibert, Harvey, Jagr, Gretzky, etc.)

Going by players I actually have seen play for the Rangers and off the top of my head:

1. Brian Leetch
2. Henrik Lundqvist
3. Mark Messier
4. Jaromir Jagr
5. Jean Ratelle
6. Artemi Panarin
7. Rod Gilbert
8. Brad Park
9. Phil Esposito
10. Mika Zibanejad
11. Sergei Zubov
12. Anders Hedberg
13. Steve Vickers
14. Ed Giacomin
15. Barry Beck
16. Adam Graves
17. Ron Greschner
18. Ryan McDonagh
19. Alexei Kovalev
20. Reijo Ruotsolainen

There would be some honorable mentions and maybe a few who I've forgotten so that list could be subject to change. Steve Larmer for one was a player I liked a lot and there's Richter and Vic Hadfield and Tkaczuk. Nylander had a couple really good years for us and Jan Erixon was a great defensive player. Kreider. Then I was also always a sucker for tough guys like Fotiu, Kocur, Domi and Langdon. Jeff Beukeboom. Zuccarello. Sandstrom. Pavelich.

It is. I could have cared less if Messier played only one season and it was '94, he is an all-time Rangers for what he did.
Even more so when you read about how much behind the scenes work in 93-94 serving as a buffer between Keenan and the team. Not to mention how he helped keep the team together during the playoffs when Keenan was making a power grab.

I’ll do my list from 1994 until now...

Messier
Leetch
Richter
Graves
Jagr
McDonough
Zibanejad
Lundqvist
Girardi
Bure (though brief)
DeAngelo

I fully expect Panarin, Shesterkin, and Fox to join this group in the near future.
