Good question. I went with Clarke, Jere, Pavel, Bergeron, and Rod the Bod.

I like Madden on the list too. Mike Fisher could make a case.

As a Canes fan, Brindy did so many things that go unnoticed and defensively he was so tough to play against.

And Doug Jarvis.

That's a good list (maybe I'm saying that because we have 4/5 in common). I had Lehtinen instead of Bergeron. There's no question Bergeron is a better two-way player but I felt, purely defensively, Lehtinen was a bit ahead.

I have so much more respect for the modern guys. The way the game has evolved with scouting, video, systems and speed make it so tough to shut someone down.

I agree, but that goes for any sport... and we'll say the same in another 30+ years.
