Scully is the only one on the list I liked.

As a 24 fan I couldn't stand Kim Bauer. Always whining and getting kidnapped. I was cheering for the cougar to eat her lol.

From those options it's Elaine Benes and she might be my #1 from any show. I liked #6 but liked #8 better from BSG. I really liked CJ Parker as a kid but haven't seen an episode of Baywatch in over 25 years.

All of these characters would make my list. I liked Tami Taylor but only watched a couple seasons of FNL. Wasn't a fan of Kim Wexler though. I'd probably add Arya Stark especially from the early seasons. Some others I'd add are:
Kima Greggs - The Wire
Jaq - Top Boy
Joannie Stubbs - Deadwood
Dolores Abernathy - Westworld
Maeve - Westworld
Lori Madison - The Deuce
Jillian - Workaholics
April - Parks and Recreation
Roz - Frasier
Lucy - Trailer Park Boys

Probably forgetting a few.

I think one of the most complex I've seen is Regina on Once Upon A Time. Emma was a great lead as well.
Carmela on the Sopranos
Brenda, Ruth, Claire on Six Feet Under
Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica
Mindy on the Mindy Project
Abbi and Ilana on Broad City
Elaine on Seinfeld
Rachel and Quinn on UnREAL, sneaky one
Shiv on Succession
Cersei on Game of Thrones

Can't believe I didn't mention Starbuck when I posted about #6 and #8. Starbuck was probably the best character of the 3.

She was funny.. also liked her on '227'.
Loni Anderson (Jennifer) on WKRP was another female character I liked from that era.
Does Elvira count as a TV character(?) I used to love watching her roast movies on Movie Macabre..

Shelly Johnson (Twin Peaks)
Robyn Brooks (High Fidelity)

But this might be in good part because they were both really beautiful.

Can't stand Monica either. I prefered Pheobe in Friends, or Maxine in Living Single.

It's a tough question. I'm sure I'm forgetting something important.

Peg Bundy - Married..with children
yeah.. I neglected to mention Peg & Kelly (two of my favorites).
Do you remember there was a fake Married with Children for a couple years (Unhappily Ever After)? I used to like Nikki Cox on that series..

Yeah, wasn't it like a WB Married knockoff or something like that?

Also had Bobcat Goldthwait who was in a relationship with Nikki Cox for a while, voicing a puppet, I'd say it reinforces the "Women love funny guys theory" but Bobcat was never funny

Kelly Taylor (90210)
Remember 'Kelly' had important roles in both shows. The spinoff story arc was Kelly's underage relationship with Jake.
I rewatched Melrose season one a couple years back, and it really is a great Gen X time capsule (for better or worse).
