According to this article, the WHL is looking at expanding its reach in the western U.S by hosting a bantam tournament on top of the combines that already exist but more interestingly to me, the creation of an American draft.

I'd be very curious as to how the league would be affected by this, and if more americans would actually report. I always personally want the Winterhawks to have more americans so would be hopeful it would work but I have to think this wouldnt move the bar much for small town canadian teams that probably dont get that many americans in the first place.
