Hey does anyone know what time of day the development camp runs at and also the rink it will be held in? I live in calgary and Im thinking of heading out to Whistler from the 12th-15th to watch a couple of the sessions on the saturday and sunday (prob wont be in town yet for the friday one) and I need all the info I can get really. Like what is the address of the rink? Wheres a cheap close place to stay during the weekend? Places to go in the evening for some entertainment when they arent playing. Anyrthing really. But mostly where the rink is, what its called and when the sessions are running. Thanks

I might head up for the day(s) as well. There aren't many cheap places to say IN whislter, but you could get a place in squamish, about a 20 minute drive south of whistler.

AH that helps alot, thank you very much. I'll continue to look into it to see if this is the actual rink they practice at, which it sounds like it is until I can verify it. Any more information is very helpful guys! Thanks!

Hey, does anyone know the address of this rink? I am going to be in town for the saturday and Sunday sessions and am planning on going to both. This would be of great help.

It's in the northern part of whistler. i am not sure of the exact address, its been years sinc ei have lived there. People in whistler are very friendly though, i am sure someone would be more than helpful if you asked directions at one of the gas stations when you first pull into Whistler.i think it's the mohawk when that is on your left when you come in past conjunction junction. The best little diner is right across the street, great place for breakfasts, southside deli, or grill o something like that, again, its been a while sicne i have been there.

PS - Sunday nights at Tommy africa's features wicked dj's with very hot go-go girl's in bikini's, and a club called "the boot" features exotic dancers on sunday nights also. ;)

wow, didn't know about this. I'll be in Whistler on the Monday - how does one go about getting tickets to an intrasquad game?

I believe the intrasqaud games on Friday and Saturday are free, at least they were in Calgary last year. The monday night event with the Olympic team costs money. Am I correct?

I'm pretty sure Monday's intrasquad game is at GM Place. As far as I know it is a combined Canadian Olympic Team Camp Practice and a Junior Selection Camp intrasquad game. I think it is $20.

Beat me to it. At GM Place, between the two teams. Tickets are 15 bucks for upper bowl, 20 bucks for lower.

Tickets go on sale for Season Ticket Holders, or WJC Ticket Holders on Wed, July 27th at 10:00AM, and for the public on July 30th at 10:00AM.

slightly off-topic but does anyone know if we can watch the Men's Olympic team practice in Kelowna? Or perhaps an intra-squad game? I've searched all over and I can't find any information..

Practices and intersquad games in Whistler are OPEN to the public, free of charge.

Both practices on August 15th in Vancouver are CLOSED to the public. Tickets for the 3rd intersquad game that evening in Vancouver are on sale through Ticketmaster outlets beginning July 30, 2005. Ticket prices for the event will be $20 for the lower bowl, and $15 for the upper bowl (plus service charges). Net proceeds from the event will go to the Canucks For Kids Fund in support of Canuck Place and Hockey Canada/Canadian Hockey Foundation.
