Play-ins were not playoffs. He had the opportunity to play like the 23rd best team in the league - which would not happen in any other season.

so do mackinnons points vs the coyotes not count? since they were seeded 12th in the conference or something like that.

yep, constantly trying to discredit McDavid. its embarrassing to be this fixated on someone
Well McDavid winning the Art Ross in a way more dominant fashion than Crosby ever did was hard for Daver. Plus McDavid just won his 3rd Art Ross, 1 Art Ross more than Crosby will ever win. And next year McDavid will become the first player since Jagr and Lemieux to hit 130+ points and win his 4th Art Ross and 3rd Hart trophy. That will absolutely destroy Daver, who's built his whole HF Boards identity on supporting and defending Crosby.

But anyway this is pointless as NHL.com lists McDavid's playoff stats as 11+11=22 points in 21 games and everybody knows that what NHL.com says is the way things are when it comes to Hockey.

That's fair. Take out the Arizona series and the round robin and you're left with 53P in 37GP (1.432PPG). A bit lower than MacKinnon's current playoff PPG but nothing too substantial.

It's worth nothing that the Coyotes had a top 5 regular season defense in terms of GA/GP. Nonetheless, they were weaker than your normal lower seed and it showed on the ice despite Kuemper's heroics.

Those were the playoffs.

so were the Play-in rounds according to the NHL. Those are elimination games. Original poster said that wouldn't happen in a normal season.. In a normal season the Avs dont line up against the 12th seed in the west in the 1st round. He was cherry picking stats.
