Which playoff format should the NHL use?

Title says it all.

Should the NHL stick to its current NHL playoff format, or go back to the 1vs8,2vs7,3vs6,4vs5 one?

I prefer the 1vs 8 and so on.
This playoffs has been interesting because there were a few new matchups. That's why I prefer the second option, more chance for new matchups. But if we get new teams in the playoffs every year, then the format won't affect that as much.

The current 1. The only issue for me with the current 1 is the wild card. If it wasn't for the wild card Colorado and Columbus wouldn't have made the playoffs this year. It should go to 1 vs. 4 in each division.
