Which players/prospects do you think your team could realistically trade at the 2024 draft, and what would you expect in return?

***Please don't list valueless scrubs or obviously untradeable contracts.

There are a few that are no longer waiver-exempt and need to decide whether to promote, trade, or waivers.

For The Blues I could see any of Buchnevich, Krug, Faulk, or Kyrou. In that order of likelihood.

Buch seems to be the easiest player to move. Top Line 2-way winger with only a M-NTC with a cheap contract (for what he brings) for next season.

Return: 1st round pick at the draft with a + depending on where the pick lands in the draft.

Krug and Faulk are interchangeable imho. I don't think the Blues want to go into next season with them both on the roster, but with them both having Full NTC for the next season I could see them sticking around for that season until it turns into a M-NTC after 01JUL25.

Return: Roster Forward or Defensemen who has fallen out of favor with team.

I think Kyrou is the most doubtful to be moved, but, with how much the STL fanbase and media despises him it wouldn't surprise me if he's moved, but it would need to be something worth while, but. His NTC doesn't kick in until 01JUL25, so I could see the Blues holding on for one more year to see if he can score another 30+ goals to either help his value or left him prove he belongs.

Return: 23-25 year old Top 4 Defensemen swap.

NYR
-Goodrow ( probably) having his usual good showing in the playoffs.

-Kakko ( maybe) a lot is going to depend on the contract. Kakko isn’t going to make a ton, but he may only try to sign a 1 or 2 year deal and control his destiny in UFA early…..if that’s the case, I see NYR trading him, likely for a young LD with size.
They also have guys like Berard/othmann/chmelar/sykora etc.
Some maybe be ready to contribute as soon as next season, and on the wing of
Cuylle and chytil is a great spot for them to acclimate.
-Lindgren/trouba???( maybe)
Gus will get paid more elsewhere, jones will replace him.
I can see NYR maybe moving 1 but not both.

I’m very interested to see if the rangers would like to add another mid-late 1st or possibly trade down if Drury n co have a specific target. Time will tell I guess

I think Habs will take a run at big name. If we get size in draft, they make offer for Rossi. If we draft Catton, less chance.

What’s the beef with Kyrou and the fans and media? I remember he made some comment last season about being booed or something like that but don’t know why he’s so disliked.

I don't necessarily expect any player trades at the draft for the Flyers, but I am kind of hoping one of the contenders who didn't get it done this year and still has their first decides that Scott Laughton is the missing piece, and we can pick up one more back-of-the-round 1st.

A Vocal part of Blues fans only want big strong mean men who excel at the defensive game. Kyrou is not big, strong, or mean and even tho he is showing willingness to progress in his defensive game, he's not exactly good at it currently.

Also those same Blues fan's consider him a floater and lazy with some even considering him a cancer in the club house.

Also there is a lot of fan's that blame him, and solely him, as the reason the Beloved Berube got fired.

LAK is actually Arthur Kaliyev.

Kings won't move Spence until they know what's happening with Roy.

Why would the Kings look to move Kaliyev? He hasn't done enough AFAIK to command $5m + cap hit just yet, is still somewhat young, and seems to have potential to improve more. Seems to me that Moore or maybe even Fiala would make more sense, if you were going to trade out a winger. My finger isn't on the pulse of the Kings though, so maybe my read on this is off.

Because LA's management and coaching staff thinks he's overall game isn't improving enough. So when he isn't scoring on the 4th line, they think he brings nothing to the game and is costing them in the game. He gets like 10 mins a game or less. He's only play like 50 games in back to back seasons without injuries. So the trust level is completely gone.

He will 99% be moved this offseason and it will be another bad mark on Rob Blake's record.

Hometown boy Moore won't be moved as he's a marketing favorite for the organization amd Fiala is one of only two offensive skilled line drivers the Kings have (Kempe).

Not sure why Pulock would waive his NTC.

The logical choice for NYI is Pageau.
