Speculation: Which of our unheralded defensive prospects ends up panning out?

the inverse of the other thread. so, basically a thread for the James K. Polk "dark horse" prediction of which one of these lumps will eventually see top-six duty for the pens or be traded for something worthwhile.

no Harrington or Dumoulin even though they're not in the other poll, because they're generally considered to be part of the so called "big six defensemen prospects"

every Carl Sneep vote will be counted double.
voting for Andrej Sustr, implies you believe the Pens will convince him to sign (Archibald/Megna connection, training camp and so on).

Off topic, but is Sustr even Penguins property? I thought he was still a FA.

EDIT: never mind, missed the last sentence.

I see D'Agostino latching on somewhere else and making a run at the NHL. I fully expect him to sign elsewhere once our rights run out, though...there's just too much of a logjam ahead of him.
Samuelsson has been written off a bit too easily...he's another guy that I see making a run at the NHL for someone else...but again, it's hard to imagine him making enough headway in this system to do so here.
Ruopp I fully believe can play the Engelland physical 6th defenseman role in the future.

Ruopp, maybe Samuelsson too, he's made great strides since last year.

Sustr will make it, I just doubt it'll be here.

Ruopp for sure. He's not as good as Engelland in the fighting department, but he'll throw down.

(I don't know anything about his actual game. I apologize.)

I think Grant has a decent shot to stick with some non-Penguin team as bottom-pairing d-man/pp specialist guy. He just needs to find a team with a bunch of defensive d-man that don't bring much to the table offensively.
