If the Leafs, Oilers, Lightning or Avs lose in round one then the great individual seasons by their top guys go for not. Especially the Leafs and Oilers whose great players have yet to transfer their regular season greatness to leading their club to a Cup.

Dew drops and rainforest
Tomas Tatar. He was actually a pretty productive player in the reg season for a number of years.

6 points in his last 35 playoff games. And he's never had a good postseason.

Ex. In 19-20 he had 61 pts in 68 GP then 2 pts in 10 GP in the playoffs.

Let’s throw this back in your yard:

Alexei Yashin.
Yashin would've performed a lot better in post-lockout era hockey IMO. The clutching, grabbing and illegal hits of that era was not kind to purely skill players.

Yashin played in the post lockout era and recorded his signature 0 points in 5 playoff games.
