Honestly I voted A5 but was super conflicted and am leaning more B5 now the more I look at it, I voted super quick as I was busy...

B4 though has the better goaltending, D depth and offensive depth, yes A4 has more big names at the top but their depth is a huge drop off in comparison. The Tarasenko/Stamkos, Tkachuk/Backlund pairs are awesome too, I really think they should go over A4.

Fun police.

You were in the draft. You didn't notice the guy drafting the all Swedish team?

Honestly I had them as one of the bottom teams. Neat idea, but they're an incredibly flawed roster. Weak first line, weaker second line, top heavy defense and mediocre goaltending. A5 is deep through the middle, has six top four defensemen and ridiculously deep scoring depth.

The fact that it's so close shows how unreliable these polls are.

Durability is a factor in a 7 game series

Saying Tarasenko is not durable because he had one injury this year makes me wonder if you follow the Blues at all.

77 games, 80 games, 82 games, 80 games, 76 games prior to this year.

Say it about Ferland and Stamkos, even though this is a "if they were healthy" playoff vote, but like really?

A1. Stronger pretty much top to bottom, but especially that defence.

A2. Better depth down the middle, and despite having a non-player with cancer 2LW, i can't overlook the edge A has in the defence corps either.

A3. Better high end talent up front by far. Don't love the lack of size/physicality in general, or the pair of smurfs on defence, but the latter is a pretty simple fix to just split them up and have a better mix. And the roster is just too much stronger to worry about that.

A4. Tough one, but i think there's just a touch more balance, depth, and better fits to A up front, and just a bit more depth on the blueline. Gibson not enough to swing it.

B5. Another tougher one, and you have to love the 1-2-3 punch down the middle for A, but the defence isn't quite as strong, both goalies are untrustworthy but kind of a wash, and i like the top-end of B forward group a bit more, and the potential chemistry. Though it's super weirdly Swedish.

A6. Probably the toughest one for me. Feel like A has a fairly marginal advantage up front and on the blueline, but have to weigh whether that's enough to offset the goaltending deficit with A being particularly weak. I think it is, but it's tough.

A7. Just a far more coherently constructed team. B feels weirdly over-invested in the blueline or something, but not even mostly defencemen i like. To the detriment of Top-6 up front and right down the depth at center in particular. A doesn't have the flashiest defence, but it's a solid group that seem like they'd work well together. That's plenty to carry the much better forward group.

A8. Might be the best 1-2 punch down the middle, and with some decent enough wingers to move around the Top-9. Stronger defence too probably, though B has better depth there. Trust the goaltending of A more behind that though.

I swear i don't just hate the letter B or something.

I don't really see A4's goaltending as that garbage. It's obviously not a strength, and it's in the bottom-half for sure, but they've got two guys who can still at least have good stretches here and there, and could probably just ride the hot hand (or less cold hand, or whatever). There are significantly worse goaltending duos here.

Don't really see B4's first line other than Ferland as particularly injury prone either though. :dunno:

Shoulder injury out for the entire season. That affects his value

Considering all 3 guys are out the entire season. That's a bad sight

Almost achievement worthy to draft 3. On their own it shouldn't affect voting but together it's glaring

B7's defense is below average. Same with A7

The team with Hall - MacKinnon - Rust is better (B7)

Also in what universe does team sweden have better top end fwds. I don't think their D is better too

Any player like Lindblom, Bouwmeester etc.. who's career has been haulted or had a season ending injury is irrelevant. We drafted with the assumption that players were healthy.

Re; Colorado over Dallas (I think)

I voted B3 over A3.

For me all of the Colorado centers may get caved in the playoffs.....and on top of that I'd pick Dallas D and G.

Are people really just looking at the 1st line centers and then voting?

Connor McDavid?

Duchene did really well in the playoffs last year, and Dach is built for the playoffs.
