Answer is any scenario that has the Leafs winning the Cup. It will ruin hockey for a long time for a lot of posters on here. Some people in this world are so beyond irrational in their hatred for the Leafs it bordering on psychotic levels.

Given how 2020 has played out so far it would make sense if the Leafs won it all this year. It would be hockey's 2020 contribution of misery that would reach the greatest masses.

NHL fans would hate it for obvious reasons and Leafs fan would not get to see their team play live nor have a Stanely Cup Parade.

This would be too perfect a scenario for 2020.

This would be the equivalent of giving HFBoard's servers a quick rinse with gasoline then lighting a cigarette. I imagine this forum would be borderline unusable for 2 weeks. I was like 5-6 days before it stabilized post Tavares signing.

The sad part is it wouldn't be Leafs fans gloating it would be a sea of crybabies trying to mock the Leafs saying it doesn't count because they didn't beat <team x> or <player y> was injured and if he was healthy Leafs stood no chance etc

Edmonton the anger would be slightly justified, 5 1st overalls within a decade including McDavid and they still can't turn the corner.
