Hello - first off I apologize if this thread is breaking any rules, feel free to delete if necessary.

My wife and I recently welcomed a baby boy - Easton - 6 weeks ago (4 weeks early!). We are transplants in Arkansas with deep roots in Minnesota and a lot of ties to hockey.

My wife is heading out of town soon and I would like to surprise her with adding a touch of personalized hockey into our nursery before she gets home. I thought it would be fun to build a picture frame and an hanging shelf out of Easton sticks.

I'm searching for the material to do this at hopefully a low cost, but I have no idea where to find broken/unused hockey sticks. Does anyone know of a business/individual who sells items like these?

Thank you in advance!

Visit your local hockey rinks, ask if they have any broken sicks laying around. Ask if they can put up a sign requesting broken shafts/sticks (Easton). Put some ads on Craigslist, or Facebook Market place. Join hockey groups on social media / ask.

Contact hockey teams.

You typically won't get unused sticks, not for free or at a very low cost.
