For me

1. Swayman becomes the starting goaltender. Vladar the backup.

2. New 2nd line center. Maybe target someone like Landeskog

3. I would like Hall back. But if he wants too much, just let him go.

4. Pay a little extra to sign Coleman and Goodrow. TBL wont be able to afford

5. Trade Debrusk, Wagner

6. Resign Ritchie. Keep him on the 4th line

7. Go after some mobile Ds with size. Once upon a core of Chara, Seidenberg, Boychuk, Mcquaid worked for a reason

Your list?

I need a few days to think it over otherwise I'd just be overacting.

However, I'm on in way against getting a new 4th line. All three can go.

DK46

Ritchie was solie as a 4th line LW. I would leave him there

Wagner and Moore bought out Kuraly told to scram.

Rask walks.

Palmeiri and Mojo are the UFA signings.

Next year I think I want Lauzen and Carlo to be 2nd pairing. If we protect Gryz I'd consider trading him with assets for a true top pairing LD like Oliver Ekman Larsson.

I think Wags still has value. Could trade for a 4th or something

With the smurfs
Bruins have what? Close to 30M in Cap space? Who are the top UFA if they decide to go another way than bringing back one or more of Rask-Hall-Krejci?

20th overall + DeBrusk can get you what on the market?

Just start the rebuild now and get it over with. But I 100% don't trust Sweeney to handle it.

Start now and maybe in 6-7 years we can watch a new core playing in the playoffs.

No thanks.

Even the Jumbo Joe trade reset (first year of Savard and Chara was Dave Lewis and brutal) only took 2 years. You can't go the Edmonton route.

This isn't the free agent class to make major changes with either next year is the year to do crazy shit and guys tend to like Boston.

Is Marcus Johansson free agent? Sign him for coyles left wing

3rd line of Johansson Coyle Smith

Sign hall and krejci. Find them a true top 6 RWer

Find a 4th line that actually plays physical. Lazar back fine. Need 2 other new 4th liners.

Need to find a #2 defenseman. And a #3 defenseman

Find a vet goalie to split time with swayman. Is khudobin a free agent? Loved Russian Tim Thomas

Dougie Hamilton and RNH are the only UFAs that are even worth sniffing that will actually hit free agency and not just show up on the list right now for expansion reasons

and RNH is pretty debatable

None this year.

Next year is the year to have cap space and go crazy.

Even if you don't like Hall or Krejci cut them blank checks on 1 year deals. Ditto Rask and I want to move on from Rask rn personally but if he signs for 1 year you don't think twice.

I want the person making roster decisions to change. That's the one I want.

I wasn't against letting Chara and Krug walk, but they needed to get one NHL defenceman back, they didn't. They get Reilly at the deadline for depth, ok cool, but still ran out of defencemen.

But hey, we developed some bottom six guys this year so go kids.

I am pretty sure AZ would go straight up in a Gryz / OEL trade and hold their laughter until after they hung up the phone. OEL's contract is atrocious.

Hamilton isn't coming back here
RNH might be a necessity if Krejci walks.

Keep in mind, lots of teams have cap problems now too

You can't compare the Thornton reset when we had Bergeron and eventually Krejci coming into top 6 roles shortly after.

We have nobody like that in our system right now and the odds are terrible that we do find one in the next 2-3 years

Next year is the year to extend Bergeron and Mcavoy as well.

Copy pasted from the post game thread:

Ok here’s the other elephant in the room.

You have to make a decision on Hall.

You have to make decisions on Krejci and Rask.
You’re aging at center.

If you let everyone walk, you need to replace them.

You need to revamp the bottom 6.
You need to shore up the depth on D.

And who do you want making those decisions?

Here’s one more. If you feel that resigning/replacing everyone is a net zero gain; do you consider dealing one or more of your valuable pieces?

I mean, 1 was bad enough. 2 isn't even a legit point. Landeskog is a winger.

Right and you might get a WAY higher cap.

Remember inflation is coming and lockdowns should be over start of next season.

I'd resign both this summer if they take good numbers. The Bruins will be in good shape we have no dumb contracts unless we sign Tuukka to a 5 year deal.

I don't have many answers right now but Joel Armia has been pretty good for Montreal and is a UFA. 6'4, would look pretty good on the 3rd line with Coyle.

I would still extend Krejci. Hall i don't know about. I probably extend him, but if he tries to play hardball I let him walk. Palmieri would be nice, but i'd be shocked if Lou doesn't lock him up.

Bruins really need help on LD. Reilly probably not the long-term answer. Still wish they had traded for McDonagh in 2018.
